      <title>update  group in NIS on SUN Solaris</title>

      <description>Hi all!,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have problem.&lt;BR /&gt;I wont add some users to different groups.&lt;BR /&gt;After &lt;BR /&gt;more /var/yp/Makefile, I know &lt;BR /&gt;where is the $HOME_directory for file "group"&lt;BR /&gt;vi group&lt;BR /&gt;I add users in this file; than &lt;BR /&gt;/usr/ccs/bin/make  group&lt;BR /&gt;The system give me an answer: "group is up to date".&lt;BR /&gt;but when I make &lt;BR /&gt;ypcat group |grep user_name&lt;BR /&gt;This user isn't  added to this groups.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Where is the problem please ? &lt;BR /&gt;Or I must "ypstop", than "ypstart" doing?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thankx, p.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;grep ^DIR Makefile&lt;BR /&gt;Will give the source directory. Edit the group file in this directory and run the make command from the /var/yp directory.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;HTH,&lt;BR /&gt;Peter</description>
