Firstly, the I70 is a 32bit only OS, while the L-class is 64bit only.
Next issue is the external interfaces which are NIO on the I70, and PCI on the L-class, so they are not even a close match.

Finally, some drivers that are on the I70 will not work with the L-class technology, so I believe you should not even attempt htis.

I have 3 questions:

1. I'm getting a HP L-Class machine to replace an HP I-70. Can I use my ignite tape from the I-70 to set up the new L-Class machine.?

2. I use Procomm Plus to telnet into my server. I'm receiving the following message:

Connect to: paranoid, IP address 204.222.15.42.
You connected from the machine supportdba, IP address: 204.169.1.3.

I've been receiving this logon ever since I made changes to my /etc/nsswitch.conf file.

Any suggestion on why I'm receiving the Connect to: paranoid instead of the name of my server?

3. I'm receiving Event Monitor Notifications on disk that I'm notusing. Can I stop these notifications without disabling everything?
