I have a new L class 2000 server that I have don the initial configuration for. I have a GUI moitor attached to it as well as a console terminal. The GUI monitor worked prior to reboot, but now when I log in, I get the blue screen, but goes no further. Any ideas??

Chris

Well if you see the blue screen X is starting ! as is CDE ?

Sounds as if it could be a permissions or corrupt user session ? : is root affected , all users ?

Can U log into a failsafe session ? Check output from dr_dt , $HOME/.dt/startlog NB add set -x into .dtprofile first & then attempt a login and then check the file ?

Rm -r $HOME/.dt then try login ?

create a new user ? problem persists ?
