      <description>Vijay,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Also, have a look at these great papers:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="http://people.hp.se/stevesk/bastion.html" target="_blank"&gt;http://people.hp.se/stevesk/bastion.html&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;And to answer your question, you are better off using a router that will do packet level routing to secure which IP's have access. Remember that anyone can change their IP, so security purely based on IP addresses without the use of routers and firewalls is doomed to fail. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;live free or die&lt;BR /&gt;harry</description>
