      <description>&lt;BR /&gt;Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Check if /etc/rc.config.d/namesvrs file has 0 infront of named.&lt;BR /&gt;NAMED=1 This will take care of starting dameon during boot.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;sig_named restart would restart the daemon.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;-USA..&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>When you say it fails on boot do you mean when you reboot the server? Check&lt;BR /&gt;/etc/rc.log &lt;BR /&gt;and look for errors.&lt;BR /&gt;What happeneds if you try to start it from the command line? Check your syslog for errors..&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Richard</description>
