    <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Have you the last sam and LVM patches ?&lt;BR /&gt;Does the command line work ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;For your problem with lvmtab you can move /etc/lvmtab to lvmtab.old and recreate it&lt;BR /&gt;by vgscan.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards,&lt;BR /&gt;Jerome</description>

      <description>I have fresh install my OS and get below error when i create new LV and VG in SAM.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The command used to create logical volumes, /sbin/lvcreate, has    ^ ??   ??&lt;BR /&gt;??  ???? failed.  The stderr output from the command is shown below.  The     ??   ??&lt;BR /&gt;?????????? logical volume has not been created.                                 ??????????&lt;BR /&gt;??  ????                                                                      ??  ????&lt;BR /&gt;??  ???? lvcreate: Warning: couldn't query physical volume                    ??  ????&lt;BR /&gt;??       <description>First do a &lt;BR /&gt;vgdisplay -v /dev/vg01 &lt;BR /&gt;to find out the &lt;BR /&gt;value of CurPV and Act PV&lt;BR /&gt;If the value differ then you have to do a&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;vgreduce -f /dev/vg01 &lt;BR /&gt;to reduce the missing physical volumes.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Else just move your /etc/lvmtab file and do a vgscan &lt;BR /&gt;to create a new /etc/lvmtab file.&lt;BR /&gt;Also do a ioscan and check whether all the disks are in the CLAIMED state.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks</description>

      <description>I think that your lvmtab corrupt is, so you need to rename lvmtab to lvmtab.old en then vgscan to create a new one, just read man vgscan.&lt;BR /&gt;Regards,&lt;BR /&gt;Hamdy&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
