Hello admin,
i have a serious problem with installation of HP-UX 11.03.
When i turn on the machine, i read this:
CC: System ID does not match CC stored system ID What does it means ?

After this message, i proceed with installation
and, when the machine finished, i read a new errore message like: (after 4-5 minutes)
CC: Deadman timer expired ; system restart option not select.

I have a DNCP 400-CO platform with flashcard.

Someone can suggest me something?

Thanks in advance.

To my knowledge, there is no version of HP-UX known as 11.03
Also, the system type you quote does not seem to be an HP-UX server, unless it is maybe an Apollo system
Could you be more precise regarding your problem?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DNCP - 400 CO? That's a Lucent box for Telecom
applications (Call routing, 800 # services, etc.)
I believe it runs a version of HP-UX, but I imagine
there are some significant differences.

Your best bet is probably the vendor (if not Lucent)
or Lucent themselves.

Jon
---------------------------------------------

Thanks for the answer, anyway the problem is not solved. Now i try to install HP-UX version 32 bit and i take note if there are some errors. If the installation works fine, i repeat the installation of HP-UX 11-00 64bits.

I try to explain better my problem.

I have 8 empty hard drive and two flashcard on my DNCP-CO 400. I wuold like to install HP-UX Extension Pack 9905 HP-UX Install and Core OS Software, 64bit (this is the exact title of cd)
Before this, i must install Lucent-Fault-Tolerant Services Software, 64bit.

1) When i turn on my dncp, i read :
CC: System ID does not match CC stored system ID
2) I continue with installation: i choose manual boot and i select the bay that contains the flashcard.
3) Ok, now the system is installated and the flashcard contain the correct information for booting. -rebooting-
4) When the machine try to go up, after 4-5 minutes, i read this message:
CC: Deadman timer expired ; system restart option not select. and the system don't start.

Can we suggest something?
Thanks to all
I wasn't aware that the Lucent platform supported 64-bit OS yet, but in any case, you should be installing everything from Lucent, i.e. the Fault Tolerant software as well the OS software should be from Lucent. Don't try to install the OS from HP CDs as they will probably not work.

As for the error, it sounds like the first stage loader is trying to find something, but cannot for some reason. You mentioned that you don't have any internal disks, so I'm assuming that all your disks are on an external cabinet? If so, check the CONF file on your flash card and make sure you have references to the external cabinet, i.e. lsm entries.

-Santosh

(I don't think so, but i'm not sure because this error appears on other machine that works fine whit 32 bit version of HP)
The file /etc/rc.log is ok like the others file *.log.
Sounds like the fans on the disk trays are failing...try reseating them. Also check the power supply and make sure that's okay. This is a DNCP 429 machine right? I'll go check my machine to get more details. If none of this works, you might want to contact Lucent about these errors.

-Santosh
