Hi

If you know port number used by your application
you can use "netstat" command to see if your
port is already in used. But before verify you
can connect (ping or telnet <HOSTNAME> [port]).
If you use a name try to resolve it with
nslookup.
You can use lsof utility to know what process
use the port if necessary ( http://hpux.connect.org.uk/hppd/hpux/Sysadmin/lsof-4.48/ and see options).

HTH

Herv?

</HOSTNAME>

Check if another instance of the application is running, maybe it's alreading bind()ing to the port. Kill it.
