    <description>kathryn,&lt;BR /&gt;You can use stm to get this info.&lt;BR /&gt;#cstm&lt;BR /&gt;#map--Give a list of all devices.&lt;BR /&gt;# Sel dev &lt;DEVICE number=""&gt; --substitute the device number corresponfing to the hardware path&lt;BR /&gt;#infolog --This will print the information available about that disk .&lt;BR /&gt;It will look something like this ..&lt;BR /&gt;Product Id:       ST318203LC        Vendor:           SEAGATE&lt;BR /&gt;Device Type:      SCSI Disk         Firmware Rev:     HP01&lt;BR /&gt;Device Qualifier: SEAGATEST318203LC  Logical Unit:     0&lt;BR /&gt;Serial Number:    LR18660700001002KBPS&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/DEVICE&gt;</description>

      <description>Bill,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;diskinfo will give the Product ID, but not the serial number of the drive.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>yes Jim you're correct sorry 'bout that.&lt;BR /&gt;even diskinfo -v?  I don't have a system&lt;BR /&gt;here to check on.. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Should add though that serial numbers on disk &lt;BR /&gt;arrays are a little more difficult to get.&lt;BR /&gt;For a clariion it's best done with mstm diagnostics&lt;BR /&gt;and for autoraid/fc60 too.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Later,&lt;BR /&gt;Bill</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;  No Bill, -v option too doesn't give you serial number.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;  I think stm is the only way (cstm)...&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Cheers...&lt;BR /&gt;Satish.</description>
