System migration

We are going to migrate the Unix to Linux, can somesone suggest how can I move the
user a/c to the new machine without affect all user's password, group , home directory etc. ? Thx.

I don't know much about Linux, but the password file structure should be the same if you not using a trusted hp-ux system. I see no problems with the group file.

As far as migrating files from users home directories are concerned, I don't see any problem here either. Just a though, makde sure that you move the password and group files first, so that the appropriate uid/gid's are assigned to the correct users.

I see no problem there.
Since you could use NIS or NIS+ as well on hp-ux and linux as well, you could combine them in the same environment.
