Hello Folks,

If you have some expirience with SUN Solaris, this a question for you then !!

Over a SUN machine the access screen of CDE have a option than no have any other CDE loggin like HPUX, Linux, etc. The option is the Remote Host conetion, this feature allow you access to any other UNIX servers from loggin screen, just like XSessions from Windows with a EXCED for example. You know how enable this feature in the CDE that another unix systemÂ´s?

I haven't seen that but you can enable dtchooser, which will let you select from a list of machines, either obtained via xdmcp broadcast, or listed directly in the /etc/dt/config/Xaccess file. If you don't have that file, copy one from /usr/dt/config/Xaccess. I don't think that this functionality is exactly the same as what Sun has, since they have made major modifications to CDE, but it is probably as close as you get.

This is a standard feature of X. Not just on Solaris.

As mentioned above, you need to enable the chooser and all potential hosts need to be configured to respond to the XDM broadcast. You do this configuration in the Xaccess file which I think is /usr/dt/config if I remember correctly
