Hello there,

We had a problem with the cclogd process which took all CPU.

Checking in STM the cclogd log file we see this message appearing during the past days :

Cclogd has determined that the chassis code boot log (/var/stm/logs/os/ccbootlog) is corrupt while searching to determine if a BOOT_COMPLETE has been logged in order to create a new log. An attempt was made to remove the log.

The HP-UX 11 model is 9000/800/L1000-44, the STM version is A.19.00.

I know about patch PHSS-24044 but this patch is meant for STM version A.25 .

How should I deal with this situation ?

Franky Leeuwerck

Hi,

Upgrade to A.25 I would say.
Just remove the old version, and install the newer one.

Don't forget to stop diagnostics and predictive before uninstalling.

C.

As your version of STM is very old, and there ar emany known issues fixed ion later versions, I would recommend you start by updating your STM version, and then seeing if you get the same problem.
