Hi Ian,

You didn't mention hardware but the published absolute miniumum's are:
128MB Swap
4GB Root Disk.

Most people like to run more swap.

I managed to install HPUX 11 on a E45 with a internal disk of 2 GB... (128MB RAM) but cannot tell you the size of the swap (could be 256 MB)because some ***** disconnetecd the box from the network...

For a 4GB disk, try this:

/ 100MB
/stand 100MB
swap 512MB
/home 200MB
/opt 800MB
/tmp 700MB
/usr 800MB
/var 800MB

I have install HP-UX 11.00 on 712 which has 2GB disk.
I think you can install on 1GB disk too.

I tried on a 1 GB with no success, you have to accept 1 Gb is really not enough...

hi,
I agree you can install HP-UX 11 on a 2GB disk, and maybe on a 1GB, to play around.
But if you want a serious installation and plan some future expansion you need AT LEAST 4GB to play safe.
