Has anybody been successful in adding a printer to Samba server on HP-UX ?

In the manual, printcap name should be addressed but there's no that file on hp-ux unlike linux or other operating systems.
I tried several times with different ways but failed.

How can we do this in hp-ux environment?

The onlinehelp says:

On System V systems that use lpstat to list available printers you can use "printcap name = lpstat"

So you don't need a printcapfile. We have several printers set up manually with no problem. When creating a printer go to the advanced view. You will see all the necessary printercommands. If you don't see your printers in the drop down list, just create one with the name of your HP-UX printer.

For HP-UX this command should look like: print command = lp -c -d%p %s; rm %s

All you have to do then is to install the necessary printer drivers on your Windows box. (There is also a option to store the necessary drivers on the Samba-Server. But we don't use this option.)

Hope this helps. Stefan
