Last time I tried, you could access an Exchange server using pop3 or imap (you can use fetchmail, available from your HPUX software porting and archive centre).
Using netscape mail client and imap I must assign a "IMAP server directory". What is this? Must I mount a share on the exchange server?

I configured just now netscape to read from exchange.
I don't set imap server directory. Leave it blank.
Just set your exchange account and password
If you want to use address book of exchange, put a new directory using ldap of your exchange server (if your exchange has a ldap server)
