      <title>vmstat showing 140+ blocked processes</title>

      <description>Our Openview server is running on an HP 9000 D380 running OV Network Node Manager ver 6.0. The vmstat is showing 140+ blocked processes. I am wondering what could be causing such a high number of blocked processes. Is this normal for openview? Vmstat also shows cpu is averaging 75% idle and no paging and swaping activity.  &lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>PHKL_16301 corrects an error in vmstat which misreports blocked processes.  See if you have that patch (or a superceding patch) installed.</description>

      <description>Thanks Alan ... installing the patch fixed the problem.  Sorry for taking a long time to reply, we didn't get the opportunity to install the patch until last week.</description>
