Hi Admins,

Thank you Alls for helping me out. As I mentioned before I am very new to HP environment. I was able to pfs_mount the cdrom(for oracle(Thanks to Jason)).

Now I can not unmount it
when I tried umount /cdrom, i got this message:

umount: cannot find /cdrom in /etc/mnttab
can not unmount /cdrom

Hello,

did you use the umount command or the pfs_umount command.

it is very important to use the pfs_umount command. And don't kill the daemons before the cd is unmounted.

If you happen to see that nothing works and commands like i.e bdf start hanging you need to reboot the box. so be careful with the pfs usage.

In the Cd's paper say:
1. Login as the root user
$su root

2. Run the following file:
# /usr/sbin/pfs_umount /CDROM

3. Log out of root user.

You have to be sure that nobody is using or placed in the /CDROM file system.

As has already been stated because you used a pfs command (eg pfs_mount) you must use the pfs command to undo it (eg pfs_umount). The following command line will unmount the cdrom:

pfs_umount /cdrom
