What Did Bill Hassell once say to me? Real Sysadmins don't use gui's.

Before you zero point me, it was a joke.

I will say this:
I have tried the free SSH gui's and so far they are lacking.

The best free tool I've found isn't very gui. Its called PuTTY

It does ssh/scp VERY well.

http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/

I think you need to spend some money to get a good gui product. I'm perfectly happy to try whats suggested in this thread and admit the error of my ways.

SEP

SEP

Hi Guys, I do agree that command base is better. I am using putty also but sometimes I need to do print screen for documentation. That is why I am looking of a GUI format. BTW, I need GUI for windows not X-windows. Thanks for your effort.

I use the ssh.com client. It has a very nice sftp gui in particular.

Its free for noncommercial use.

Clement,

Then you're best bet is to use itkWish (which is the easiest way to create X-Windows apps). You can create virtually any frontend to SSH tools - configuration, ssh/sftp/scp frontends, etc... limited only by your imagination. itkWish syntax is pretty much shell like - if you know how to program basic ksh .. then you should be all set.

I take it that your question's intent was really a front-end to configuring SSH? ie. setting up parameters in sshd_config, key generation, etc?
