Hello Deanna,

for your question: yes,

for your needs: go to http://technet.oracle.com and get a free account for the "Oracle Technology Network". Then go to the "documentation" pages and get all the official docs plus a lot of tips and tricks.
But the very first step would be to read the "DBA Handbook" by Kevin Loney:
http://shop.osborne.com/cgi-bin/osborne/scan/se=15452/fi=author2isbn/sf=authorcode/op=eq/sp=results%2ehtml/em=yes/st=db.html
and then the "Complete Reference":
http://shop.osborne.com/cgi-bin/osborne/0072225211.html

HTH,
Wodisch

You can create N tables within a tablespace.

Deanna, this is such a fundamental question that it truly illustrates the need for some Oracle training on your part. This Forum is really not suited as a substitute for an Oracle class nor it is intended to be.

There is really no substitute for the purchase of a few Oracle tutorials, Oracle refernece books, and perhaps a few classes. The other requirement is spending a great deal of time trying things for yourself.

Regards, Clay
I'm not sure what you exactly mean. You can create multiple tables within a dbspace. In Oracle you can have tables whose rows contain tables, I've never done this so would not know how you can do it only that is what they say you can do...

Tim
