Is there a way to rename a print que in hp/ux 11.0? I created a bunch of printers and then found out that most of the names are too long.

I don't think you can. I believe you have to delete and re-add. Sorry :(

You can create shorter aliases for your printers using the /etc/hosts file - just add lines that resolve your alias to the long name. That is only assuming that the queues work with the longer names...

The application is on the box so it uses the que name.
