I upraded an old T600 fro 10 to 11. I am getting ready to remove all 10.20 software from this system. Do you think this is a wise idea? Can I safely remove all references to 10.20?
Robert,

It would depend on what kind of software. A lot of 10.20 code runs fine on 11/11i machines.

Can you specify some of the things you would remove?

live free or die
harry

It is always a good practice to take a full backup and save before an upgrade. As long as your apps will run on the new OS you should be fine.

Hi Robert:

Use a current version of 'cleanup' (PHCO_24347 for 11.0 or PHCO_24630 for 11.11) and do:

# cleanup -i

...to remove remnants of 10.20 fro your IPD.

Regards!

...JRF...

If you are talking about some OS related softwares, then you can remove it and install the 11.0 versions. The applications which works on both versions can be either re-installed or kept same.

Yes you can, I'm assuming your talking about application software which are originally loaded from the application CDs. A side note :- Be very careful with patches though, there should be instruction on how to handle that, I think using "swmodify" and then "cleanup".
