Hi,
How do I know whether my OS is 64bit or not/whether I have booted from 64bit or not? .I am using HPUX 11.0 ?

/usr/bin/getconf KERNEL_BITS

reports from the current running kernel if youre running 32 or 64 bit.

Hi Jerome:

# getconf KERNEL_BITS

...shows what kernel "bitness" you are running.

# getconf HW_CPU_SUPP_BITS

...returns what you "bitness" you *can* run.

# echo boot_string/S|adb /stand/vmunix /dev/mem

...will show you the disk from which the boot occured.

getconf KERNEL_BITS

Man getconf for more.

Just run next command.

swlist | grep 64

HPUXEng64RT B.11.00 English HP-UX 64-bit Runtime Env

then its 64 bits.
