Hi,
Can someone advice if the software id on a B2600 workstation can be change, This is because I have bought a B2600 workstation just for a third party application. This application uses the software ID for licensing. Unfortunately, when the workstation was setup, thye software id is different from the one that was purchase. Thus, I have to change the software id to match the application.

Can someone provide me with the steps that can perform this ???

Regards
Vincent

If your talking about the 'hostid' (output of uname -i) then the answer is no, only an HP engineer can change this. Your better off getting a replacement license from the software vendor.

Sorry. These numbers are used for licensing an can only be changed with the SSCONFIG utility and an HP-CE.
