      <title>Problem wih NIS</title>

      <description>Ping was made from the client to the Server Masters and it did it without problems but when under the services of the Server Masters and it became to raise, client NIS could not connect again to the Server Masters.  After this it presented problems.&lt;BR /&gt;Server Master: SUN&lt;BR /&gt;NIS Client: HP&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Before making the connection:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;/sbin/init.d/nis.client start     &lt;BR /&gt;    starting NIS CLIENT networking&lt;BR /&gt;    starting up the rpcbind&lt;BR /&gt;        rpcbind already started, using pid: 1037&lt;BR /&gt;        domainname pacifico.fin.ec&lt;BR /&gt;    starting up the Network Information Service&lt;BR /&gt;        starting up the ypbind daemon&lt;BR /&gt;ypbind will not use the server list available in the file /var/yp/binding/&lt;DOMAIN_NAME&gt;/ypservers for binding purpose. Also if ypbind is invoked with -broadcast option, then -broadcast option is ignored.&lt;BR /&gt;        /usr/lib/netsvc/yp/ypbind -ypset&lt;BR /&gt;        calling ypset with 10.1.218.101&lt;BR /&gt;        Checking NIS binding.&lt;BR /&gt;        Bound to NIS server using domain pacifico.fin.ec.&lt;BR /&gt;        starting up the keyserv daemon&lt;BR /&gt;        /usr/sbin/keyserv &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# ypwhich&lt;BR /&gt;sungye00as00&lt;BR /&gt;# ypwhich -m&lt;BR /&gt;mail.byaddr sungye00as00&lt;BR /&gt;mail.aliases sungye00as00&lt;BR /&gt;hosts.byaddr sungye00as00&lt;BR /&gt;hosts.byname sungye00as00&lt;BR /&gt;group.bygid sungye00as00&lt;BR /&gt;group.byname sungye00as00&lt;BR /&gt;passwd.byuid sungye00as00&lt;BR /&gt;passwd.byname sungye00as00&lt;BR /&gt;ypservers sungye00as00&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# domainname&lt;BR /&gt;pacifico.fin.ec&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Before making the connection:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# ypwhich&lt;BR /&gt;ypwhich:  clnt_create error: RPC: Unknown host&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# /sbin/init.d/nis.client start         &lt;BR /&gt;    starting NIS CLIENT networking&lt;BR /&gt;    starting up the rpcbind&lt;BR /&gt;        rpcbind already started, using pid: 1037&lt;BR /&gt;        domainname pacifico.fin.ec&lt;BR /&gt;    starting up the Network Information Service&lt;BR /&gt;        starting up the ypbind daemon&lt;BR /&gt;ypbind will not use the server list available in the file /var/yp/binding/&lt;DOMAIN_NAME&gt;/ypservers for binding purpose.       <description>Install patch&lt;BR /&gt;  PHCO_27958&lt;BR /&gt;  PHNE_28103&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;to execute the command ypinit â  c and to configurate form the server masters and slave.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;It's ready&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;It's my solution verified&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;JC</description>
