      <description>Hello Javier,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;you need a lot things set up correctly:&lt;BR /&gt;- the font for the terminal window&lt;BR /&gt;- the keyboard enconding/mapping&lt;BR /&gt;- the program (i.e. "sh" does NOT do it!)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;For the first you need to start an X-client &lt;BR /&gt;with the correct font, e.g. "client -fn FONT",&lt;BR /&gt;and that font need to end with the proper ISO&lt;BR /&gt;enconding (I am not certain wether ISO8859-1&lt;BR /&gt;is sufficient for you - test with "xfd").&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Then your keyboard must map your local keys&lt;BR /&gt;to the same code numbers, as your font does;&lt;BR /&gt;be careful: HP keyboards tend to use HP-ROMAN.&lt;BR /&gt;Use "xmodmap -pk" to check.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;And last: if you try that within your shell,&lt;BR /&gt;you need to change to the korn-shell, for&lt;BR /&gt;the POSIX shell does NOT allow it, and still&lt;BR /&gt;you need to set something like &lt;BR /&gt;        stty -istrip cs8&lt;BR /&gt;in your session (or ".profile").&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;HTH,&lt;BR /&gt;   Wodisch&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>AH!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Configure your printer.. set the correct character set as LATIN-8 or something like this. See printer's manual.</description>
