HPlogo problem.

Hi,

I want change my HPlogo.
With Photoshop 6.01, I save my image to jpg format.
I import this jpg with Image View and I save to /etc/dt/config/C/HPlogo.bm and /etc/dt/config/C/idlogo.bm

On my login screen, this new logo appear black and white and not good resolution.

Help me please.

It's probably related to the color resolution. try playing with it.

Try using "xv", it works really well for me ..

Try 1600x1200 256 color - as long as the monitor can handle it.

Hi, back after a small break.. well not really, I've been busy!

In any case, a good resolution for the hp logo? 2 bit!

Your problem is due to the pixmap format. Try saving as xpm instead.

I use a dos tool called imagemagick to convert and it works fine.

Try xwd to display to screen before setting as logo.

as stated above your problem is most likely to do with the application you used to create your loago and the format it saved it in.

use xpm ! and try using either XV or Imagemagick both work well !

see the section dependancies ! these can be downloaded from the above site to but instal them before or at the same time as Imagemagick
