    <description>I've been getting the following EMS event on a daily basis:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;lt; &amp;gt;------------ Event Monitoring Service Event Notification ------------&amp;lt;&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;lt;&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;lt; Notification Time: Wed Oct 30 18:23:46 2002&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;lt;&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;lt; cordayop sent Event Monitor notification information:&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;lt;&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;lt; /storage/events/disks/default/1_10_0_0.8.0.255.0.7.0&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;lt;  is &amp;gt;= 1.&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;lt; Its current value is INFORMATION(1).&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;lt;&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;lt; User Comments:&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;lt;&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;lt;&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;lt; Event data from monitor:&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;lt;&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;lt; Event Time..........: Wed Oct 30 18:23:46 2002&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;lt; Severity............: INFORMATION&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;lt; Monitor.............: disk_em&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;lt; Event #.............: 6&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;lt; System..............: cordayop&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;lt;&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;lt; Summary:&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;lt;      Disk at hardware path 1/10/0/0.8.0.255.0.7.0 : New grown-defects have been&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;lt;      added to the defect list.&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;lt;&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;lt;&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;lt; Description of Error:&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;lt;&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;lt;      One or more new grown-defects have been added to the list. This indicates&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;lt;      that the disk was having difficulty reading or writing data blocks and&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;lt;      those data blocks were successfully relocated with no data loss.&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;lt;&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;lt; Probable Cause / Recommended Action:&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;lt;&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;lt;      During an I/O operation, one or more bad sectors were found and&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;lt;      automatically reallocated. The operation was successful. Occasional growth&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;lt;      in the defect list is to be expected.
