Netscape error on HP-UX 11

Hi All,

While opening the netscape navigator v4.75 on an HP-UX 11.00 machine, an error occurs saying
"Exec format error, Can not load plugin
/opt/netscape/plugins/java40.jar ignored " And then it opens the Netscape.
I tried reinstalling Netscape but the same problem occurs again.The problem is when i try to view contents on a CD,it doesnt show the left menu side contents so i cant go further to the sub topics.

Hi there.
Have you got the complete jre ?
This should be installed and some environment variables must be set afik.

I installed the complete JRE but the problem is still there.
What environment variables do i need to set exactly to get this working?

Try having a look around the hp.com/go/java pages on netscape java support.

You should find a readme file in the netscape home dir. Check it out and set your environment properly.

Hi Kiran:

This error can be because of update of the java filesets by another application install ? You can try re-installing JRE and JDK. Also check all patches for this installation:
