Assigning points does not work for me

I am logged into the HP forums as I see Welcome, Mott Given!(CA446923) and the "logout" option.
I load the URL I got in email ("Response to an HP IT resource center forums question") to look at replies to my question.
After I assign points to answers of my questions, I press the submit button and I get the 'assiging points - acknowledge window'. If I return now to the page with my question, and hit the browser Reload button, my points are not assigned to the answer I've just quoted.

This is a known problem, try to assign again. Mostly after a few submits the point will stick.

Hi Mott,

It's a known issue with certain browsers. Generally, the points will "stick" after a couple of tries, though there are a couple of rare browsers that just don't work at all.

Give it another try (or two).

Mott,

After receiving the acknowledge window, go back to the section where you've just gave points to your session (eg hp-ux - general for this question)and click then on your question again instead of going back directly to your question from the acknowledgement window.

And just give it a few tries. At least you won't post the same question/answer multiple times with assigning points.

Thank you all for your help. I finally got the points assigned after trying about 5 or 6 times using Internet Explorer v6.0 and Mozilla v1.4b.

Keep trying Mott,

We appreciate your efforts.

I had some issues last week with mozilla.

Try closing all browser sessions and starting over, perhaps emptying the cached pages and such, it will work, especially if the points are for me.

I had a lot of problems like this with the forum. I found that some of it was caused by our internal security settings such as the proxy, and restrictions on some scripts.

Do you have any control over your local security policy? If so try changing some of your browser settings.
