topic Init command in Operating System - HP-UX

Init command

I'm on a Linux box and i'm trying to reboot. I do a "init 0" and it says command not found. Yet it's in the man pages. Any ideas?

Hello!

Could be that init command not in your path.
Try to find it on the system
find / -name init
And then run it with the full path

Hi Kyle,

I suspect it's not in your search path.
Try the following to determine where it is

whereis init
which init
whence init

Then give the full path to the command when you run it or add that path to your PATH variable.
