      <description>Hi all, when I??m trying to activate the snmp daemon I??m getting this logs in the /var/adm/snmpd.log&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;AgentSocketCreate:  bind&lt;BR /&gt;               at line 482 in file ../tcp.c&lt;BR /&gt;InitMaster: IPCFP[0].AgentSocketCreate failed&lt;BR /&gt;               at line 1381 in file ../master.c&lt;BR /&gt;master agent initialization failed, exiting&lt;BR /&gt;               at line 835 in file ../mastmain.c&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;any suggestion??&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;thanks in advance</description>

      <description>See what's going on with the SMNPD port in /etc/services.  Use 'lsof -i SNMP:##'.  Is something else contending with the port?  NNM for example?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Try port 161.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Also try telneting into the port:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;telnet ip port&lt;BR /&gt;Connected?</description>
