Question for the regulars. I know some of you are answering questions in many forums outside just the HPUX forum. Is there any easy way to monitor/read multiple forums without using multiple browsers. ie: Funnel multiple forums to one screen?

How do you guys do it?

Jim,
Most of people use Netscape, Mozilla or Opera. All these browsers support tabbed windows. I use mozilla. Its very helpful is maintaining so many tabbed windows whilst only one in the task bar.

cheers
Umapathy
I'm using mozilla with tabs.

If I can't have X-Windows up, I have to use lots of IE windows which frankly gives me a headache.

SEP

Umapathy - well put

I personally use Netscape 7.02
Just like Mozilla you can have multiply tabs to view multiple web pages.

Plus it's much better than Internet Exploder

Jim,

I like to keep a close watch on four HP forums, so I find a browser with tabs to be the easiest tool for this purpose. Netscape 7.02 is my current default browser, but I also use IE6 SP1. (We have some database apps that require IE6.)

One advantage to Netscape over IE has to do with the recent HP Forum makeover. I run 17" or 18" flat panels at their native resolution, both at home and in the office. Using IE6, the recent forum change has caused the screen fonts to become quite a bit larger than they were previously, too large for my taste. The Netscape screen fonts are still small, so of course one does not need to scroll so much. However, some people find running flat panels at their native resolution makes text too small to read, so those people might prefer IE. (Of course, running flat panels at a resolution which is not the native resolution, makes text somewhat fuzzy.)

:-) Jay
