HI,

I had HP in doing a field upgrade. I now am receiving a E-mail message about every 10-15 mins. Here it is:

Basically it is telling you that you r monitor(s) are restarting andbeginning to monitor. Is this the only (unique) message or are there messages pertaining to several monitors? You could try bouncing the diagnstics:

# /sbin/init.d/diagnostic stop/start

to see if it clears up your problem.

What version of diags do you have installed?

Hi Mark,

you would probably receive a few of these every time the system boots. This is the message that normally goes to the root in the event of a EMS restart, which mostly happens at the time of boot.

If you restarting your system now and then, then you may get a lot of these messages. Most of the time, take a glance thru it and delete it.

If you recieve the restart notifications every 15mins, this is a known issue.

If HP-UX 11.0 and STM ver A.24.00, install patch PHSS_23655 to resolve.

To verify A.24.00:
# swlist -l fileset |grep Sup-Tool
look for "B.11.00.15.xx"

Hello, everybody,

I installed patches PHKL_26059 and PHSS_24303 on HPUX 11.0 for resolving the Event Monitor Restart Notification e-mail messages in elm. This has no effect at all! I so badly wanna get rid of all those e-mail messages...
Please help!
