ll doesn't work from /

Hi,

I am using hp-ux 11.00
the "ll" command doesn't work from "/"
ls and other commands works from everywhere.
only ll from / doesn't work (just hangs).

Any clues?

Your problem indicates a bad mount point. Check each mount point in / to
identify the failing mount point. If it is an NFS mount point, the
resource may not be available, or the resource may have been moved to
another location.

Use these steps to resolve your problem:

1. Perform a filesystem check on the disk that contains the
bad mount point.

2. Reboot the system.

Hi,

Thanks for your clue. It was nfs automount creating problem. I just restarted all the
NFS services and it is ok now.

We have had the same problem... and it was also NFS...

For this reason we have disabeld the automounter
