Parallel port prining

Hi,

I am trying to setup a HPLaserJet 2100 to print from the parallel port. The parallel port is connected to a DTC port. I am able to print to a Lexmark 2381 Plus that has a parallel port but I cannot print to a parallel port of the HPLaserJet 2100? Could it be the printer driver? We use a "dump print" driver for the Lexmark. Maybe the "dump print" driver cannot initialize the Laserjet. Thanks.

What is the error message, are you using JetAdmin?

There are no error messages. I am not using JetAdmin. JetAdmin does not apply here. I am adding a local printer with a non-standard device.

HI
Since now your are connecting HP Laserjet printer, why not configure as hp laserjet driver instead of dumb.

I didn't know their were DTC's that had parallel ports. All my DTC's are serial only.

Is this a new DTC capability?
