      <description>Starting about 2 weeks ago, I have been getting several requests a minute for this file on my Apache server from the internet.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;What is this file type and why would it be being requested?</description>

      <description>That is the Code Red virus looking for a MS IIS server. Since you are running Apache you won't be affected. The logs just show that the Code Red virus is looking for another IIS to infect.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The .ida extension is a MS Index Server file.</description>
