    <description>By definition a PCL file should be a binary file. If you have a text file with embded PCL escape codes, you may want to use the ux2dos command on the hpux side. This will add the necessary CR on the end of the text file, making it a DOS text file.</description>

      <description>one of my users is creating invoices in pcl format.  if they ftp the files they see the correct output however due to some security issues i implemented samba servers on all my hp boxes, however when she transfers the files using samba, they seem to output the binary file.  does anyone know how to make samba transfer in ascii mode?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;cheers</description>
