While there is not direct dependency between the PDC level and the OS, it would be better to keep up with the recent version. So, I suggest to upgrade the PDC to the latest level and then upgrade the OS.

-Sri

I think 39.43 is the latest version for K370. Try this link

http://us-support2.external.hp.com/wpsl/bin/doc.pl/sid=9eba2a1e019c9714d6/screen=wpslSelectPatch

-Sri

I disagree with keeping up with the lastest PDC version.

Remember that if anyting goes wrong during upgrade, you will have a dead system... You would have to replace the mainboard.

Everything i have read from HP says the recommend ONLY upgrading PDC if you are experiencing any problems that would be solved with an upgrade. If you don't have any problems, then they recommend you leave it as is.
We get updated PDCs for two reasons

-Enhancements
-fixes

We need to care about fixes. There are many bugs with the older version of PDCs like system hangs, no core dumps, clock problems etc.,

However, I would ask HP CE to update PDC for me. Remember, PDC versions are not *unsupported*. So I don't appreciate HP not recommending them.

-Sri
