I just fell over backwards from laughing.
Guys, i am not a high degree computer junkie as your are, but even i as a former telekom technician and typewriter mechanic know about these things. Clay, you really did the right things. These reactions make live so funny.
I would have kicked this special consultant out of the building.

I'm an electronic (and electrical) engineer and still have no idea what you're talking about.. I hated all that stuff..
it's brough back so many bad memories of exam craming!

Clay, you deserve more than that crown, because you got such a good sense of humor.
It that is a sign of a good nuclear physicist, i will not loose all hope regarding my son.
He is studying the same thing, but he is eighteen right now and sometimes a real pain in the neck.

I am not an EE and most of the electrical voltage jargon went straight over this former blondes' head....But I have had 'similar' re-actions from vendors on other subjects.
