Hi,
I have a 11.0 system in which the
/usr/sbin/rbootd daemon takes 100% of CPU always.
I am planning to stop the rbootd daemon by editing /etc/rc.config.d/netdaemons.
How can I find whether any DTC Manager or RMP client is using the rbootd daemon of my server? So that I can stop it if no body uses.
-suki

If you are doing network installation then there is no need to run rbootd.

You can try loading the latest patch and check the usage of the rboot with CPU.

http://www1.itrc.hp.com/service/patch/patchDetail.do?patchid=PHNE_14644&context=hpux:800:11:00

Hi,
I found a strange error message on syslog.log file on some of my HP-UX 11.0 servers and from that time onwards the rbootd daemon is taking 100% CPU time on all those systems. The error message is "May 14 14:30:09 host1 bootpd[1067]: Server received invalid message type DHCPACK
May 14 14:30:14 host1 instl_bootd[4862]: instl_bootd: No available IP address found in: /etc/opt/ignite/instl_boottab"
Can someone throw some light on this issue.
-suki
