Hi Jose,

Hard to tell for sure, but that looks like something *during* boot is causing a panic & *trying* to write a crash dump - which fails as well. So that's possibly two failures - the first being whatever is causing the panic & then the fact that the dump can't be written. But the latter could be a simple configuration problem dealing with the dump device setup.
Take a look in /var/tombstone IF you can ever get it up.
TRY to boot in single-user mode (hpux -is) & manually mount filesystems - if possible.

Good Luck,
Jeff

Do you get to the point where it asks if you wish to interrupt boot? Where you get the 10 second countdown?
If so - stop it there with ANY key & type

bo pri

Then it will ask if you wish to interact - answer y
and at that prompt- do

hpux -is

That get's you to single-user mode.

Let us know if you can get that far or not.

Rgds,
Jeff

Has anything changed since your last successful boot? It sounds as if the system is doing a panic while loading your kernal. Has your kernal changed? If so try booting from previous kernal. At isl prompt type hpux /stand/vmunix.prev Another problem could be if your swap space has changed since last successful boot. Make sure all drives are plugged in correctly. If nothing else has changed, you might want to boot into LVM Maintenance mode and have a look around hpux -lm /stand/vmunix

Good Luck.

Steve
