Hello,

I'm sending emails from hpux 10.20 using sendmail and I would like to include on these emails the Return-Receipt-To:
The emails are being received on a microsoft exchange.
The idea is to see if the users are opening these emails or they have defined a rule to delete these emails before they arrive to the mailbox.
These are emails sent to a program users eveytime they do a malfunction with the program and i suspect that they are just deleting before read them.

this would be a feature of sendmail not hp-ux 10.20

have a look at the sendmail.org webpage that tell you how to configure return/receipt:

I tried the delivery receipt and it works fine but I need to get a receipt of read or delete.

Take a look at:

It is a COMPLETE list of ALL message headers.

I don't see any RFC that pertains to DELETE.

I even tried it on my exchange 5.5 server. I can get confirmation of receipt/read but not delete. (using the exchange server and outlook client... can't get more microsoft than that.. and if that doesn't support it, i don't see sendmail/exchange supporting it)

but I was interested in the return receipt not the reply-to.
