Hi,

I am not sure about the openmail product
itself but, what is the owner and group of the
directory? It is the user herself or is this
a shared directory? I have seen where setting
up a new user the owner has changed /home for
example. I am wondering whether openmail have
such a problem. Have you set up any new openmail users recently?

HTH
-Michael

Idis,

I thought the default user mail directory was /var/mail.

Anyway check for the directory and file permisssions. Set teh file permission to 766 and see if it helps. The user should have read / write permission to the file and the directory.

hope this helps.

thanks
Hi

If root can access the directory and one particular user cannot means it is something related to permission settings.

Directory permission ruls are like this.
If read permission is not set for a directory U will not be able to list or access the file inside the directory.

If the execute permission of a directory is not set, files inside can be listed with names only. ll will not work.

if only execute pemission is set with out read and write, U can go to directory and excute the program by using program name. U will not be able to list.

So please check these and make sure that U have not changed the group of the user recently.

Best of luck

Shahul
