topic Secure File Transfer w/ Advanced Logging in Operating System - HP-UX

Hello all.

I wonder if someone could help me. This question, posted on Net forums just gave me NO replies.

I am looking for some kind of software (free?) that would allow me to transfer files between DIFFERENT POSIX platforms (HP>AIX AIX<HP linux="">HP, etc), in a secure way and with advanced logging (this is the hard part). By "advanced logging" I mean a complete history thing, showing (and saving in a file) User name,time stamp, file, origin and destination, success or not and so.

Maybe some SCP with a front end or script???

I??m beginning to get tired of diggin thru Internet sites, and not finding a single (and free) solution...I stuck onto a $21,000 software license that really gave me the freaks...

Thanks for any contribution!
[ ]s.
</HP>

The standard for this in the financial services industry is 'Connect Direct' from Sterling Commerce - its not cheap though!

http://www.stercomm.com/solutions/products/ebi/connect/direct.html

HTH

Duncan

Oh my........

C:D is the solution we??ve got around. The problem is: if a "fellow machine" on the next room needs to transfer a 2 byte file, the user responsible for it have to spend $6,000.00 to be able to do it, because he needs a license.
We??re trying to overcome this in some other way, but it seems to be impossible.

Thanks anyway!
Jeffo.
