    <description>Hi Nago,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Have you&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;1) Verified that the NFS server is up &amp;amp; reachable?&lt;BR /&gt;2) Verified that it has the dir properly exported?&lt;BR /&gt;3) Tried to unmount it on the client &amp;amp; remount it?&lt;BR /&gt;4) Unexported (exportfs -u /export/dir) &amp;amp; re-exported (exportfs -a)?&lt;BR /&gt;4) Stopped the NFS server on the server &amp;amp; restarted?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Rgds,&lt;BR /&gt;Jeff</description>

      <description>hELLO HOUSE,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I got this error message from my NFS Client:&lt;BR /&gt;NFS server myhost not responding still trying...&lt;BR /&gt;i have restarted the NFS client and yet the NFS is not mounted, What could be wrong? I am at work now and need to continue with my asignment. Please help.</description>

      <description>while i was sending the message earlier, i was restarting my NFS server. after which i issued mount -a on the NFS client. &lt;BR /&gt;everything is ok again but my concern is why would it fail in the first place?&lt;BR /&gt;thanks for the response. kindly give me an answer.</description>

      <description>Well, it could have been one of several things...&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;1) Network was saturated or dropped for a period.&lt;BR /&gt;2) NFS server was being hammered either in it's CPU, disk or network.&lt;BR /&gt;3) ditto for the client&lt;BR /&gt;4) Someone unexported the dir on the server.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Rgds,&lt;BR /&gt;Jeff&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>thanks for your response.&lt;BR /&gt;i am still having some problems. &lt;BR /&gt;when i try to export oracle data from the NFS client file system, i get the following error;&lt;BR /&gt; no such device,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;About to export specified tables via Conventional Path ...&lt;BR /&gt;. . exporting table                   ACTB_HISTORYNo such device or address&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;EXP-00002: error in writing to export file&lt;BR /&gt;EXP-00002: error in writing to export fileerror closing export file&lt;BR /&gt;EXP-00000: Export terminated unsuccessfully002&amp;gt;</description>
