    <description>Omari,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Nice to find someone who is using Tomcat . It is a servlette engine and runs as a JVM (Java Virtual Machine).&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;-We use JDK 1.3.1 for running tomcat. You may download the same and use it.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;-It is better to include the PATH variable in /opt/hpws/tomcat/bin/environmentsetup.sh this line may be included in the startup.sh (A better standard to name it)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;-Do not run Tomcat as root , create a seperate user and run it.If you are running it as root so as to bind listner to port 80 use some setuid functions....&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;For what r u using Tomcat ?....&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Cheers,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;kaps</description>

      <description>Hi to All, &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;a.)Firstly i dont think i have java .So can u tell me a place to download the apporpiate version ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;b.)But i do have the Perl and it is  located in &lt;BR /&gt;the directory /opt/perl/bin .&lt;BR /&gt;Running webmin in inside the directory /opt/hpws/webmin still&lt;BR /&gt;yields the same errors.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Hope to hear from you all.</description>

      <description>Hi Omar,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You can download java from &lt;A href="http://www.sun.com" target="_blank"&gt;www.sun.com&lt;/A&gt; . &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Please take note of the java version you are going to download. It should satisfy the requirement of your TOMCAT version. Write-ups about these compatibilities were also posted in &lt;A href="http://www.sun.com" target="_blank"&gt;www.sun.com&lt;/A&gt; .&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;good luck...</description>

      <description>Hi Raj , &lt;BR /&gt; I will try to download the Java &lt;BR /&gt;1.4.1 and see if tomcat works .&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Anyway tomcat is included in the  bundle package for hp-ux apache web suite , ( ie a web-server purpose ) &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;By the way i am wondering why there's errors after starting webmin. &lt;BR /&gt;It seems perl command does not &lt;BR /&gt;understand the script miniserv.pl&lt;BR /&gt;despite having the directive /opt/perl/bin/perl .&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I attach here the script for better understanding . &lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi to ALL ,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Tomcat is now successfully running after the installation&lt;BR /&gt;of Java 1.4.&lt;BR /&gt;(&lt;A href="http://www.sun.com" target="_blank"&gt;http://www.sun.com&lt;/A&gt; or if using &lt;BR /&gt;hp-ux platform , then &lt;BR /&gt;http:&lt;A href="http://www.software.hp.com" target="_blank"&gt;www.software.hp.com&lt;/A&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;) &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Perl5 .8 needs to be download &lt;BR /&gt;in order for webmin to start .&lt;BR /&gt;(http:&lt;A href="http://www.perl.com" target="_blank"&gt;www.perl.com&lt;/A&gt; ) &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Will update this issue , after &lt;BR /&gt;downloading &amp;amp; installing Perl5.8&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;rgds, &lt;BR /&gt;omari</description>
