      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Compressed or not depends on the device file used for backup. &lt;BR /&gt;Information about how much data written to the tape depends on your application. Most backup programs give information about tape usage.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Space left on a tape is impossible to get exact information if compression is used, it depends on compression ratio for your data. It can only be estimated. If compression is not used it is easy:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Total capacity - data written = space left.</description>
