I do not think that above 4.0 is available for HP-UX

I installed IE 5 on my HP-UX boxes, tried it out for a month.

Then I ripped it out.

I really, really hated it.

It worked just about as well as it does on my PC.

I am able to execute ie binary as a root. But not as a user. Its exiting.

I don't know whats wrong.

Hi Prasath:

Try checking the permissions on the ie directory and executables with the ll command.

Should have -rwxr-xr-x. If not you can chmod -R 755 /ie_dir_name.

Just a curious question, but why would you want to load M$ Internet Exploder on an HP-UX machine? Why not load something like Netscape 7? I think you will find that you have much better luck with Netscape.

Before installing make sure your $HOME and $DISPLAY envs are set. To run it type /usr/local/microsoft/bin/iexplorer
