/sbin/rc error

After I loaded the december 2002 Support Plus CD and the reboot occured, I am now getting the following error
/sbin/rc [38]: 048: the specified number is not valid for thsi command.

Can anyone shed some light for me on this on how to correct it.

Hi,
Can you look at the /etc/rc.log to see which application, startup script is giving the error.

I have the same problem with an oracle profile and startup script.

The script wasn't tested. It doesn't understand the concept of a ulimt being set to unlimited.

You need to modify the offending script and change the if test.

1. check the rc.log file for more information.
2. by any chance is there any backup files in /etc/rc.config.d/
3. try sourcing all the files in /etc/rc.config.d/ to see if there are any errors.
