This is Daemon started by diagnostics which keeps monitoring the system.
You can stop the diagnostics
/sbin/init.d/diagnostic stop
to see the improvement in the system performance

Rajeev

hello,

i had the same problem and applied patch PHSS_28250 and it is now solved.

This includes the fixes for both diagmond memory leak and excessive CPU usage by diagmond.

hope this helps!
Best Regards
Yogeeraj
hi again,

Although "/sbin/init.d/diagnostic stop " will stop it, it is not advisable to do so.

Please apply the necessary patch.

Best Regards
Yogeeraj

What is the version os OS and STM (support Tools Manager you have on the system).

Probably STM must be patched properly to resolve the diagmond CPU usage.
